The University of Arizona Poetry Center will host a symposium this weekend called Poetry Off the Page. Today’s symposium begins at 3:00 pm. It will include the Situation Series, video essays by Claudia Rankine and John Lucas, which address national and international contemporary events. In the evening, there will be another video by Rankine and Lucas, as well as an audio show with voice recordings of nonpoetic speech by Christina Hume and an improvisatory oral performance by Cecilia Vicuña.
