Benjamin Schneider is a coffee shop manager, a musician, and an entrepreneur. He is a lover of gravity and head banging. His bugaboos include lolly-gagging and cockroaches.
Natasha Stagg: What are you up to lately?
Ben Schneider: Playing lots of fuck and soul on my bongos (I meant funk, sorry) and dreaming of what a real kiss might feel like.
I have been working on an album for my band Otherly Love, also just playing lots of music in general and helping my mother run her coffee shop, Bentley’s.
NS: Do you still live in Tucson? If not, do you miss it?
BS: Yes I still live in Tucson and yes I still miss it because sometimes you can get too busy to enjoy it. But sometimes you’ve got no projects going on and Tucson night life sucks you in and that’s a worse spot to be in.
NS: What are you reading?
BS: I am reading Dune. Well, I’ve actually only read about two pages so far but I swear I’m gonna read it.
NS: Suggest something to do in Tucson.
BS: Go see great local bands, enjoy how nice people are, carefully run around in the desert, ride the trolley…. not! Eat lots of Mexican food and wear sun screen.
NS: Suggest something to read.
BS: I just finished reading The Devil in the White City which was great. if you’re into architecture and serial killers than you will enjoy this book as well.
